Winter is well over by this point, and it’s time for many of us to reenter the spring – and now summer – with a corresponding body and outlook.
Everyone wants to be toned. The look, feel, and confidence that come with the look and feel of a toned body with rock-hard abs and defined muscles say a lot about you. A toned body says: I take care of myself. It says: I am confident. It speaks volumes about you – even without you knowing.
But how should you get to a toned body? The answer is sometimes unclear. Exercise seems to be the most direct solution, but if you’ve run on a treadmill or tried the elliptical machine for awhile, you know it’s not easy.
Get Ripped Fast Guide has compiled a few suggested steps for you so you can jump into a summer routine quickly – with the look, feel, and confidence that you want and we all envy.
1. Eat Right – and Less
Too often, we return from the gym and fill ourselves with the nearest substances that we call food. Last night’s spaghetti, or grandma’s bread, or the cookies a coworker gave you – these are all the usual suspects.
And we mistake eating less for eating well, but that’s not the case. In order to lose weight and tone your body, you’ll need to eat right as well as less. Protein-rich foods – poultry, red meat, nuts, beans – all promise to help you tone faster rather than later. Sugar-rich fruits are natural but costly in terms of calorie intake; where fruits fail, vegetables compensate well.
2. Exercise – Often and Well
Exercise is often one thing. We go to work or school, come home – and have little time for
anything else.
Exercising well is something else entirely. Before you lift weights, run for an hour, or bike for a few miles, you need to know how to exercise. Speak with a trainer or trusted friend, or even someone you meet at the gym, in order to elucidate the details.
3. Try Circuit Training
If you’re unfamiliar with the phrase “circuit training,” don’t feel alarmed. Circuit training
involves combining exercise for a few muscle groups and working on them routinely and
without rest. Enduring a round of pull-ups, push-ups, bench press exercise, and bicep curls will promote the kinds of muscles you want most: the toned ones.
